Arbonne Spa Party Update

Fun Foot Soak!

Goodie bags for everyone!

Before & After

Last Saturday night was a hit! Everyone had such an amazing time having their foot soak and massage with the entire Sea Source line. The facial table was a great way to prep everyone to have the makeup consultation. Let me tell you everyone looked gorgeous when they left that night. The makeovers were very successful! I expected everyone to show up and get their treatments and leave.

I was so pleasantly surprised to see everyone gathered around the table socializing! It was relaxing and so much fun for everyone, thank you to all who came and most of all to Monica and my mom Linda for working their little hands off!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Tomorrow my mom will turn 60! My dear friend Colleen and I threw my mom a surprise party on Saturday night. Let me tell you it was a hit! She was surprised!

I came up with the idea of a Summer night in Paris theme. My mom is too special for that over the hill stuff. Besides she is absolutely gorgeous and looks nothing even close to 60! I decorated with lot's of glitter, vintage papers, flowers, Eiffel towers everywhere and used beautiful linens my dear Aunt Carol let me borrow from her travels in France. Let me tell you, they are nothing you could find at any store here.
I wanted to welcome everyone with the Summer in Paris theme. I had french music playing in the background. There also was a 6 1/2 foot gold glittered Eiffel tower for people to pose for pictures. That was so much fun. I dressed the children in french clothes with little french hats. They were the token "french people".

I turned my dining room into a french bakery. I hand stamped little white treat bags with Eiffel towers and filled each one with parchment paper. The dinning room table was full of treats to fill the bags with. I made Eiffel tower chocolate lolly pops, Eiffel tower cookies, we had Madeline cookies, lemon cooler cake and many more treats for everyone to take home. I think the bakery was a hit, everyone walked out with very full bags.

We set up a buffet in the back yard and also made several relaxing seating areas for everyone to just kick back and enjoy themselves. All of my mom's friends are such wonderful people and I enjoyed having all of them over. She was so happy to see all of them and my mother had a smile on her face the entire night. My mother deserved this party so much and it was such a pleasure to have it for her. Happy Birthday Mom!

They love dogs too in Paso Robles!

Here is a cute water fountian on the sidewalk for dogs. I thought this was too cute.

Lone Madrone Winery

Summer Vacation

I have not been able to post for a while since we were up in northern California for our Summer vacation. We had a great time. We stayed in Paso Robles. It is so pretty to see hills of green wineries lined with a gold backdrop of wheat fields. The people here were wonderful, they so graciously accommodated our two children. As my husband tasted wine we walked the properties and explored. Yes it was very hot however the beauty of it all made you forget. The Rotta winery was so nice. They took my 2 year old and 8 year old in the back (where the wine is made) to pet their dog. They just loved it. I must say the wine was awesome! Castro Cellers was gorgeous! They had a huge tasting room, wonderful staff and even offered my 2 year old grape juice to tase. It was so good we bought two bottles along with the wine my husband fell in love with. Last but not least one of my favorites for many reasons, Lone Madrone. This place has it all. They even have a nursery! I bought two scented geraniums there, I just love them. They have beautiful gardens and animals for the kids to look at as well.

I do think that this place is the next up and coming Wine Country that could beat Napa. I have now been to both. Paso Robles is quaint and not commercial. It is close to the coast and Hearst Castle, you can see so much while you are there! I highly recommend taking a long weekend and driving up the California Coast.

Check out my favorites on my website, I added the wineries to them! http://www.floralfacelift.com/

The New Chic Green Shopper

I am so excited about my new product. All handmade by me. The Chic Green Shopper! This is such a great bag! I am so excited about it because it's so green. This is a great shopping bag made of 100% organic cotton canvas, organic cotton is usually rain-fed, not irrigated, so it uses a lot less water. Organic cotton is grown without the use of pesticides and insecticides. The embellishments on this bag are made from vintage, recycled or scrap fabrics and materials only.
Crystals are genuine Swarovski Crystals. Holds up to 15 lbs. In the photo I have filled on up for you to see. I have two bottles of wine, bag of veggie chips, three boxes of pasta, 2 bags of pretzels and my all time favorite Martha Stewart Magazine! It still had room for more and it was very comfortable to carry. The best thing I can say about this bag is that you will look very sophisticated while shopping at the mall or in Trader Joe's.

These will be on sale for $23.00 or 2 for $40.00 at the big event this Sunday at the Ride the Coast event benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Ana. It will be held at Westfield Mainplace Mall in Santa Ana. This is a great cause benefiting kids and teens and it will be lots of fun. There will also be a motorcycle raffled off! Visit www.ridethecoast.com for tickets and information on the event. They will also have tickets on sale at the event.

The bags will be avaliable online next week. Send me your e-mail address if you would like a coupone code for a discount!

Wedding shower last Saturday

Last Saturday was my best friend Colleen's wedding shower. My mom and I were in charge of the decorations. Her sister Julie took care of the food. It was a great hit. We made a tower of flowers that looked a little like a wedding cake. Each flower container was the party favor that everyone took home. We also had a wish tree, everyone wrote their wishes to the bride and groom and we pinned them on the tree with pretty pearl floral pins. Julie did a great job on the food, we had little heart shaped sandwiches. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful bride to be! I will send more photos of Colleen when I get them from my sister. I was too busy to take pictures during the shower.

Flea Market Finds

My mom and I went shopping at the antique flea markets and found some great deals. I love the milk glass I picked up and the silver spoons. I also picked up a bunch of linens, I am a linen junky. I just love how beautiful the vintage linens are and how you will never find anything like them new. I picked up lot's of tea cup sets that I will be reselling as gift sets, stay tuned... I will take photos of them when I am done and post them on my website.

A Good Cause..

Today my Aunt Carol called me and asked me to help her out with something. She needed a unique table gift for a fundraiser. The fundraiser is for Bethany, a transitional home for women. They have an auction every year, all the women get together and each decorate a table for a wonderful lunch. Each table is different. The table seats 8-10 people. This year the table my aunt was helping out with was a Paris theme. I was thrilled to help. I made these fresh lavender bunches with a handmade Paris tag. I stamped the tag and hand glittered it. They smell soooo goood!

Vegas Baby!

Just a couple of weekends ago I went to Vegas to celebrate by little sisters 21st b-day! I am 14 years older than her. We had so much fun. I was so happy to be there to expeirence her first drink as the clock stroke midnight. She is really tiny and looks like she's 15 so it was good that the family went to validate her ID. I just wanted to share, here is our night out at Mesa Grill, really good food!

Roses

I am in love with the blooms right now!
Antonio (my 2 year old) and I were picking some roses for a new vase I just got. It's a pretty large glass urn vase, I love how all of the flowers drip over the sides. Antonio is more interested in the smaller flowers, sometimes he does not know his own strenght and he pulls the entire plant right out of the ground. I just put it back when he is not looking. He will learn soon enough. Hope everyone is having a good week!
